"HOn2 Layout."

I built this little model railroad layout in about two weeks. Two by four feet in size, disproving the notion that a person doesn't have room to build a model railroad layout. It is in HO (1/87) scale, two an a half foot gauge. I used N scale track but laid the five turnouts by hand. The structures, rolling stock and most of the layout was scratch-built. The locomotives were modified from a Bachmann 0-4-0 saddle-tanker and Riverossi gasoline mining engines. It is a simple folded dogbone track arrangement, and when everything is cleaned up, oiled, and run in, it operates rather well. Darryl Huffman, friend and fellow model builder, is the owner now.
